Visual Inspection with the Assistance of a Video Camera |
||
Videoendoscopy (visual inspection with a video camera) on WECs is implemented mainly for the gearbox inspection. With the aid of a built-in light source, photographs are taken for purposes of documentation. Videoendoscopy makes it possible to determine and document damages in otherwise inaccessible areas such as the gearbox interior and in bearings and hollowspaces. |
The goal of videoendoscopy is the visual evaluation of the WEC status and the detection of eventual damages. The early detection of component defects helps to avoid costly repairs and standstills. |
